A beautiful house in Italy is available to rent. It has a large garden with views of the wonderful hills surrounding this small village. It has 3 bedrooms and a terrace with veranda. It was featured as one of the houses for sale, shown by Zilpah Hartley in 'A Place In The Sun' back in 2003, when they visited the region of Abruzzo. We have since purchased the property, and made it available for rent.
Breaking News:
07/04/09
There has been an earthquake (6.3) in the area of Abruzzo, where the house is located. The biggest town, L'Aquila, nearest to the house has been severly effected by the earthquake. We have been informed that the village where the house is located has been mildly affected, and that cracks have appeared in the foundations, but the house is so far, still standing. As a result, the house is no longer available to rent until further notice.
A Brief Introduction:
The house is situated twenty minutes, by car, from L'Aquila, in a small, peaceful hill top village. It is approximately 1hour and 45 minutes from Rome airport and can easily be accessed by the autostrada. It is 40 minutes from the Beach and 20 minutes from the national park's mountains for skiing and hiking. There is a Bar/Pizzeria, Post Office and a regular provisions van in the village. However, just a few minutes drive and you will find a supermarket and restaurants.
